Custom and personalized orders

Yes we can alter pieces for example raise the height, change the hardware, paper the drawers, add nylon glides to protect floors, change the color, etc.

Gift wrapping and packaging

We can accommodate gift wrapping for an additional handling fee.

Is shipping included in the purchase price?

Yes, unless it’s date or time specific.

As soon as you order please send us a phone number for the shipper to coordinate delivery with you with.

Once we hear from you about shipping requirements, we will get to work scheduling a carrier. Items are generally booked to ship and picked up within a 1-3 weeks, and may take 1-4 weeks after pick up to get to you.

If you need an item by a certain deadline, PLEASE let us know so we can make sure to get it to you on time. Time sensitive or date specific delivery will incur an extra cost.

What if there’s shipping damage?

After you accept delivery of the item, the sale becomes final. We encourage everybody to photograph the delivery and immediately unwrap their piece while the shipper is there, check for stability, test all drawers, doors, and moving parts. Refuse delivery if there's a significant problem. For minor a structural issue, drawer slide came loose, a dowel broke, a minor wobble because of a lose screw, etc. we will either walk you through a simple repair, or if a professional is required we go through insurance and reimburse you for the cost of a house call repair.

If you'd like to purchase additional comprehensive insurance, we will split the cost of the policy with you , which typically ranges from $50-$75 per item.

What is furniture in vintage condition?

"Vintage condition" means the piece has had minimal work done to it and will have imperfections. We try to accurately photograph and describe flaws, but we can't guarantee we've noticed everything. Unless noted otherwise, these pieces will be functionally sound, have no structural issues, and not have any unpleasant smells.

"Good restored condition" means that many, but usually not all, imperfections have been repaired. The piece will look great from two or three feet away, but will have some imperfections up close.

"Excellent restored condition" means that the piece has been fully restored and will be close to what it looked like when it was new. Since our items are 50+ years old, however, we can't guarantee perfection.

Do we offer local Chicago delivery or pickup?

Yes we do. You’re always welcome to schedule a pick up or local delivery.
